Procedure to create and reset the password for University accounts.
@unitn.it account (students, professors, researchers, doctoral candidates, staff members and collaborators)
University account passwords must satisfy some conditions for security reasons:
- they must be at least 8 characters long
- they must include at least a non-alphabetical character. Characters allowed are: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, *, /, +, -, . , _, ?, !, @
- they must be different from the previous password
If you forget your password, you can request a new one by entering your personal email address associated to your account in the box at reset password
If your personal email address is not already registered, you can enter it in the box at set personal contact (once you are authenticated).
Or alternatively, if you have a SPID identity or a valid TS-CNS (Tessera Sanitaria - Carta Nazionale dei Servizi), you can change or reset your password autonomously at SPID or TS-CNS reset password
Professors, researchers, doctoral candidates, staff members and collaborators passwords expire every 6 months: just before the expiry date, each user will be notified by email and invited to change it using the appropriate MyUnitn widget.
Students passwords never expire, but it is advisable to change it periodically (from MyUnitn) for security reasons.
If you have a @guest.unitn.it account and you forgot your password, you can go to reset password and set a new one by entering the same email address you provided while registering.
NB: password reset via SPID identity or TS-CNS (Tessera Sanitaria - Carta Nazionale dei Servizi) is not allowed for @guest.unitn.it accounts.
