News for GSuite: starting from Monday 22 June 2020 the new Google Chat will be released, which replaces the old Hangouts Chat so far available on the Gmail web interface.
The roll out of the new service is gradual and progressive: within 24/48 hours Hangouts will be disabled for all UniTrento users.

All applications that refer to the old Hangouts Chat will be disabled, except for the web page https://hangouts.google.com
Users will be automatically redirected to the new Google Chat in https://chat.google.com or invited to download the new Chat mobile app for smartphones.
A "Classic Hangouts bot" will also be configured on the new Chat which will manage the notifications between the old and the new application, and in this way the messages will not be lost.
