SPID UniTrento

Users can access UniTrento IT services with their SPID credentials

The University of Trento, on a trial basis, allows users to authenticate and have access to IT services simply using their SPID credentials

All members of the University community are eligible for these services
(students, professors, PhDs, staff, collaborators, guests with @unitn.it account)

From May 15, 2017 UniTrento's online services offered to University members are available logging in with SPID credentials too.

IT services reserved to members of the University community use the Italian fiscal code (which is related to the SPID credentials) to verify the identity of users, and then activate all the functionalities and grant them all necessary permissions according to their role.

Users log in and gain access to these services with Single Sign On. Members of the University community can decide either to login using their University credentials (see https://icts.unitn.it/account-unitn) or their SPID credentials, according to their own preferences.

SPID identity can also be used to reset the password of @unitn.it credential: SPID / TS-CNS reset password

Services offered to the citizens

Some services are offered to the citizens, who do not need to be part of the University community. In this case, users can access the University IT services using their SPID credentials.

The first of these services to be activated, on a trial basis, is the wifi-SPID network at the BUC (the Main Library of our University).

This is possible from April 18th, 2017 (https://icts.unitn.it/rete-wireless-unitn-spid)
