What personal attributes are sent by CIE to UniTrento?

The set of attributes sent by CIE to UniTrento is always the same regardless of the UniTrento service being accessed.

The attributes are:

  • First name
  • Surname
  • Date of birth (also included in the Tax Code)
  • Tax Code (to activate access authorizations to services reserved for members of the University community)
  • Place of birth (included in the Tax Code)
  • Gender (included in the Tax Code)

Why is the Tax Code required?

The Tax Code is used by the services of Unitrento to identify the person as a member of the University community even when it is authenticated with CIE credentials.

In this way, if the person is already registered in the University, it is also possible to activate all access permissions based on the roles held.

In the initial registration phase, the Tax Code is also used to obtain the place of birth and gender of the person, necessary for the identity system of the University to complete the census.
